Born in Salzburg, Austria (*1985), Lukas Valenta Rinner studies Film in Barcelona (ECIB) and Buenos Aires (Universidad del Cine). In 2010 his short film A Letter to Fukuyama screens at Bafici and Diagonale. His first feature film, Parabellum (2015), is screened in more than 30 International Film Festivals and received prizes at the Diagonale (Best 1rst Feature Film), Jeonjou IFF (Jury Prize) and Mar del Plata IFF (Best Film, Panorama Argentina). He is the founder of the independent production company Nabis Filmgroup, with branches in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Salzburg, Austria. He is a participant of the 2013 Berlinale Talent Campus. He won the Audience Award at the first edition of Visionär Film Festival.
